Valid for a single return trip to Uruguay
If you are interested in traveling to Uruguay and your travel document has expired, has no available pages or has been lost or stolen.
Who can carry out this procedure?
Born in Uruguay, children of Uruguayans born abroad (Law 16.021), grandchildren of Uruguayans born abroad (Law 19.362) and legal citizens.
Requirements
- Original and/or copy of Uruguayan identity card or Uruguayan passport (if you have one of these documents), if you do not have them, submit a copy and original of another identification document.
- Travel itinerary.
- If your procedure is being carried out due to the theft or loss of your Uruguayan passport, it is necessary to file a report with the competent authorities.
- Report in the Uruguayan Public Security Management System (to be made at the time of processing).
- Application form (find it at the bottom of the page).
Note: This travel document is valid for eight calendar days and will remain in the possession of the Uruguayan immigration authorities upon arrival in the country.
Once you have carefully reviewed the above requirements, please send your appointment request to uruturquia@mrree.gub.uy, attaching the required documents.
After corroborating the information, you will receive a reply with the details of your appointment to appear at the Consular Section on the date and time indicated.
Cost: There is no cost when the travel document is justified as lost or stolen, otherwise the cost is USD 18.
