Civil Register Birth Inscription
Interested in registering their birth.
Who can carry out this procedure?
Children of Uruguayans (Law 16.021) and grandchildren of Uruguayans (Law 19.362), born in Turkish territory.
Requirements
- Applicant’s Birth Certificate apostilled (and translated) before the competent local authority, valid for less than 90 days.
- Copy of the Uruguayan birth certificate of the father/mother that grants the nationality (if the certificate is foreign, it must be apostilled and translated). In case of birth registration by Uruguayan grandfather/grandmother, a copy of the Uruguayan birth certificate must also be provided.
- Original of the applicant’s valid identity document (ID card and/or passport) (if available).
- Valid identity documents (identity card and/or passport) of mother and father.
- Current identity documents (identity card and/or passport) of maternal and paternal grandparents.
- Two witnesses over 18 years of age; present valid identity documents (identity card and/or passport).

Once you have carefully reviewed the above requirements, please send your appointment request to uruturquia@mrree.gub.uy, attaching the required documents.
After corroborating the information, you will receive a reply with the details of your appointment to appear at the Consular Section on the date and time indicated.
Cost: USD 18 for each registration
