Certificate of judicial record

Interested in demonstrating lack of police record in Uruguay.

Who can carry out this procedure?

Born in Uruguay, children of Uruguayans born abroad (Law 16.021), grandchildren of Uruguayans born abroad (Law 19.362), as well as legal citizens; persons who were residents or who reside in Uruguay.

Requirements

  • Valid Uruguayan identity document (passport or CIU)
  • Identity card from country of origin (for non-Uruguayan nationals)
  • Indicate precisely the reason for the request of the Certificate.

The interested party must send to the e-mail uruturquia@mrree.gub.uy, the application and a digitalized copy of the identity card (front and back) or Uruguayan passport (information sheet) as an attachment.

Once the Certificate is issued, it will be sent by e-mail. If the original is required, it may be presented at the Consular Section office, from Monday to Friday from 09:30 to 16:30, with your identity document.

Cost: This procedure has no cost.
