Birth, marriage or death certificates

Interested in obtaining testimony of the Uruguayan birth, marriage or death certificate.

Who can carry out this procedure?

Individuals or direct family members who require the issuance of a Uruguayan certificate registered in the Uruguayan Civil Registry database.

Requirements

  1. Copy of Uruguayan identity card (front and back) or Uruguayan passport (information sheet) of the holder of the consignment.
  2. Number of the act and office where the item was registered.
  3. Name of father and mother of the holder of the certificate (applies to birth certificate)
  4. Place and date of marriage or death of the person.
  5. Identity document of the applicant that corroborates the link with the holder of the item, in case it is requested by a third party.
  6. Indicate precisely the name of the entity to which the item is to be submitted.

The interested party must send to the e-mail uruturquia@mrree.gub.uy, the document request and the required documents as an attachment.

Once the document is issued, it will be sent by e-mail. If the original is required, it may be presented at the Consular Section office, from Monday to Friday from 09:30 to 16:30, with your identity document.

Cost: This procedure has no cost.
